It has been the most memorable journey for Julian for the past 2 years in SPS. Sending him to school from west to east everyday was a great challenge for us as parents . But, it is definitely worth the effort when we see how much Julian has grown up and nurtured in the environment that impart Soka’s humanistic value education. On the 24th of November, my daughter celebrated her graduation from Soka Preschool. Two years ago, when we moved from Japan to Singapore and Satomi joined the Soka Preschool, she was not yet conversant in either English or Mandarin at all. Despite all the challenges and barriers of the language difference, the unwavering dedication and genuine care by amazing teachers, staff, and her friends at Soka Preschool enabled her to thoroughly enjoy and flourish throughout her educational journey.

The moment she delivered her speech in both English and Mandarin during the graduation ceremony, we were very touched and filled with immense gratitude. The entire event, with its captivating performances, dances, music, and speeches delivered by students, was a reflection of the authentic friendships, unity, and personal growth each student had achieved. Witnessing these young global citizens unite in celebration was truly a magnificent sight and a deeply touching moment.

As her parents, we are overwhelmed with sincere and profound appreciation for every teacher, staff member, friend, and the entire Soka family, as well as Dr. Ikeda, for their relentless encouragement and support in nurturing my daughter’s development and helping her realize her utmost potential.

Alba totally ENJOYED her first year. There were three outings (Botanic Gardens, Giant supermarket, Pasta Mania workshop) that the kids had, specially arranged by the teachers. Special thanks to all teachers who taught her. She is also now a lot more confident & keen to speak in mandarin. 😍 she also encourages me to be courageous. This is amazing and unexpected!

My daughter Clarissa has been with Soka Kindergarten since N2 and now she’s in K1 and joining to K2 very soon. Soka Kindergarten is a place where my daughter feel safe & conducive environment where she was enjoyed learning through value-creating education.

In SK, the children will develop into global citizen who acquire life skills and values to cultivate healthy and responsible characters and contribute to society. The children also to be guided the principle of never give up, as well as to treasure the parents will become great people and which inline with the school’s motto is to be strong, righteous and free!

My daughter has made beautiful bonds with the teachers and friends and has many exciting experiences and learning opportunities in SK. Fabulous educators with lots of caring & experience. The ease of communication between families and educators is also very convenient for parents to know their children’s situation at any time. The teachers will also communicate with each parent in a timely and patient manner.

I’m excited to listen all the fun things she did in school. We love & appreciated for the amazing joy they do caring for the kids. Highly recommend. This is undoubtedly a great support for parents.

My son joined in Soka kindergarten this year K1. We have come to know about this school through friends. We strongly believe that pre-school builds a strong foundation in a child’s career. That’s why we choose to send our four children to Soka Kindergarten. My Son love to go to school everyday. He enjoy the learning in the school. We have observed lot of improvement in my Son’s learning and activities.

Both my kids attend Soka kindergarten where they enrolled earlier this year 2022, N2 and K2 respectively. Both of them truly enjoyed going to school and looking forward each day. Previously, my son was at a montessori school but drag to go school everyday. He did not enjoy chinese class before, however with soka kindergarten, he came back singing chinese songs and speaks a little mandarin to us. My daughter is full of praises for her school and loves all her classes. Kudos to the principal and teachers for cultivating an enjoyable learning journey for the children. Highly recommended pre school to parents and children!

I love to go to school as I feel that all my teachers are really kind and attentive towards me. I enjoyed the curriculum and the various activities as they were fun and educational. Show-and-tell is never easy for me as I am shy but I think I have made some improvements. My brother, Tyler, graduated from SK in 2017. Till this day, he still have fond memories of the kindergarten. A big shout out to Ms Stella and Fu Lao Shi for taking great care of me and also to all the teachers who have been supporting me in my daily learnings and needs! Not forgetting Ms Meifen who helped to attend to the admin matters no matter how big or small. Thank you Mr Tan for bringing fun and laughter to all of us. We heard about the school from friends and had received very good feedback. Our son Kiaan joined Soka Kindergarten in the year 2020. We truly appreciate the culture of allowing the personal and interactive channel between Teachers and parents. Kiaan settled in much sooner than we expected him to.

Through encouraged independent learning we have noticed his development in all areas and abilities, both academic and creative.

We also like the various art/craft, Show and tell activities they perform as part of learning along with the enrichment classes which also add to the whole learning experience.

We feel comforted that Kiaan enjoys his school (including the bus journey), loves his friends and every teacher that he has had.

SOKA KINDERGARTEN is the hidden gem of a premium preschool education in the eastern part of Singapore which was founded and based on the humanistic values and ideals by Buddhist philosopher President Ikeda. I enthusiastically send my only child to this premium preschool and yet at the cost of a neighbourhood school fee.

I strongly encourage more Chinese parents in Singapore to send their kids here as the school gives an excellent grounding in both English and Chinese languages and most importantly, focusing on fostering humanistic values and life skills for the child’s happiness. My boy enjoyed taking school bus from where we live in central West of Singapore to this school in Tampines despite longer distance. Everyday he will return home with cheerful & joyful energy. Many sincere thanks to all the dedicated Soka Kindergarten teachers for their great job and wish them good health and happiness.

At Soka, the children receive a wholistic and empathetic education where the goal is character development and not only academic excellence. Moreover, the campus and facilities provided at Soka Kindergarten are unmatched to any other pre-school that I have come across. Both my children have received a caring and nurturing environment at Soka Kindergarten and they have enjoyed going to school every day and remember their teachers fondly.

We are staying at Yew Tee, but has decided to send our son to Soka Kindergarten (SK), a decision which ‘WOW’ many of our friends/neighbours. Though the journey to school is long, we believe the creative learning and values SK taught will be beneficial to his development in the long run. Soka kindergarten was the first choice for us when the time came to enrol our younger son Adyant for nursery and kindergarten. SK scores high on three parameters for us 1) wide open and excellent infrastructure 2) teachers who are extremely passionate and nurture each child as a future leader and finally the study curriculum of imparting education with values. This is what differentiates Soka in our mind. We are also impressed with the objective feedback teachers provide which helps us to expedite our child’s progress. Both of us thank SK for their support in our child’s overall growth.

We strongly believe that pre-school builds a strong foundation in a child’s life not just in their education but holistically. That’s why we choose to send our four children to Soka Kindergarten. Our youngest son is currently in K2 this year and his three older siblings have very fond memories of SK. Despite living in the West, my children were/is amongst the first to board the school bus and the last to alight, they have made good friends whom they can chat with throughout their bus journey every day!

We sincerely want to thank all the teachers in SK who have touched the lives of the children under their care through their dedicated efforts to nurture each one of them in their unique ways. My children have cultivated independence and ownership in their learning in SK, giving them a good head start in Primary and Secondary school now.

Although in terms of academic, SK is not as rigorous as other pre-school, but the joy and love for learning, the curiosity, the values cultivated in our children throughout the 3 years in SK is irreplaceable. My children have also cultivated the love for Chinese while in SK despite the lack of exposure to the language at home.

Learning through fun , activities and play. Everyday is an adventure at Soka . My son has been with Soka since nursery and he has loved his friends and loving teachers all the way. We really appreciate that teachers allow kids to shine in their own way and do not put pressure on kids to compete with each other. Every child is appreciated and allowed to grow happily.

We respect Soka Kindergarten as a good quality Kindergarten in Singapore. Its teaching style is unique and very suitable for our daughter. Also, SK put in a lot of effort to ensure that a balance of academic and positive life attitude and skills are given to all students. This includes its decision to extend to 4 hours program soon.

Our daughter responds positively to SK way of teaching and play. We hope she can learn to have a basic positive attitude to life as good as possible from her SK teachers. Also, we hope she gains confidence in academic and skills needed in her long journey ahead, starting from SK as a good and forever-lasting memory in her life. Thank you SK.

All my 4 kids aged 20, 17, 14 & 6 attended Soka Kindergarten. The last one is in K2 this year.

Besides the wonderful & creative curriculum that promotes experiential learning and instil a curiosity & love for life in young kids, what impresses me the most is the Educators. They certainly embodied the humanistic spirit of the Founder, Dr Daisaku Ikeda and are wonderful role models to our young & highly impressionable children. My children learnt important values through their day to day interactions with the teachers and this has helped mold them into upright, strong and caring individuals.

Despite the fact that SK does not give spelling or lots of boring handwritten work or tests, my 3 older children were able to adapt to primary school life eventually cause of the positive attitude and joy of learning that has been cultivated during their 3 crucial years in SK.

I stayed all the way in CCK so my kids have to tour around Spore to & from school. But along the journey, I realized they got to have wonderful conversations with friends from different levels and learn from one another. Not once did they complain about the long distance.

As a parent, I am very grateful to all SK staff who have put in so much hard and heart work. I sincerely salute them.

My friends often asked me why SK does not have other branches. Well I can only jokingly say probably it is hard to find good teachers… 🙂

My happy boy graduated from Soka Kindergarten in 2020 and adapts well in primary school life. I also enrolled my twins this year and they are both enjoying their nursery! SK provides quality education with passionate, devoted and dedicated teachers. Really appreciate the group of teachers and supporting staff hard work. We love the school spacious environment and holistic curriculum. There is also a lot of parent-school communication, support and activities. We really enjoy all the weekly summary and each term newsletter. The school nurtures each child by imparting good values and life social skills to be strong, righteous and free!

It has been an amazing journey for my child to be a part of soka family and we are truly blessed we discovered this amazing place. Its not only a school which focusses only on academics , they have a holistic approach in all aspects which in my point of view needs to given utmost importance because ultimately those are all survival skills to lead a life where qe teach how to care , love and be loved. Hi, I am proud to be part of SK family for the past 14 years. I live in the West and Aeris is my 6th child attending SK. One might ask why am I so fond of sending my children to SK in spite of the distance. What is so unique about SK is that it makes our children love going to school, it incites curiosity in our children and make learning fun. Last but not least I would like to thank all the teachers in SK who have truly showed their unconditional dedication, passion and love in caring and guiding our little one.

We have 3 boys from which 2 have been with Soka kindergarten. We all love Soka as they nurture the child with a holistic approach. When they come back home, they are full of energy and joy. Our sons talk about volcanos, dinosaurs and shows inquisitiveness in everything around. It amazes me every time they share, how the teacher was able to clearly communicate the concept to a 5 year old. Especially during the circuit period, they kept the kids engaged with their weekly zoom classes. I highly appreciated how they talked to children about supporting their parents during work from home. We plan to enroll our third son also into Soka next year.

My daughter has been studying in Soka kindergarten since N2 and now she is in K2. I noticed a huge change in her personality. She is more aware about her surroundings. At Soka they focus on the holistic development of children which is the reason I enrolled my daughter. The curriculum is practical based. They encourage children to explore, be creative and ask the 5 W’s and how, etc. Children learn well through play and exploration.

My daughter looks forward to going school everyday and always has good things to say about her teachers and friends.

Overall I am happy that I chose Soka kindergarten for my daughter.
